ASPIRANTS without post-secondary training have the green light to contest any elective office except that of president, governor and their deputies in the general election. Yesterday, MPs amended sections 22 (1)(b) and Section 24 (1)(b) of the Elections Act which locked out aspirants for MP, senator, women's representative and county representative without post secondary qualifications. However, this window of opportunity is limited to the coming poll. In the 2017 general election all aspirants will be required to have a minimum requirement of a degree to vie for the posts...
