Poor basic education has slowed growth – Kiyiapi

Restore and Build Kenya presidential aspirant James ole Kiyiapi yesterday said lack of a good educational foundation is to blame for the country's underdevelopment. He said Early Childhood Development Education has been ignored by the government for many years and has greatly contributed to the stalling of development. Speaking in Embu, Kiyiapi said there is a huge difference between a well-educated person and one who did not get proper schooling. He asked the government to pay attention to ECDE to achieve Vision 2030.
