Police in Kuria East have arrested a 75-year-old woman for circumcising girls in Kegonga. Police chief Gladys Ogonda said the suspect will be charged at a Kehancha court when they complete investigations. The popular circumciser had by yesterday cut close to 300 girls in the Abanyabasi clan since the rituals began this month in the Kuria community, she said. “She is believed to have taken a refuge in one of the neighbouring villages after being tipped of an imminent arrest," Ogonda said...
