The Parliamentary Committee on Administration and National Security will today summon the chair of the Police Commission and the Inspector General. Kandara MP Alice Wahome, a member of the committee, said they want to resolve the conflict over the roles of the two offices. She was speaking in the constituency during Madaraka Day celebrations. Wahome said IGP David Kimaiyo has genuine complaints. She said Kimaiyo’s role entails transferring officers while the National Police Service Commission chaired by Johnston Kavuludi should oversee the promotions and recruitments of senior officers.
