THE Community Forest Association in Nyahururu is crying foul after the Ken- ya Forest Service stopped buying its seedlings. The association claims that the tender for the seeds was awarded to “well-connected” individuals. Spokesman Chuchu Ng’ang’a said KFS had betrayed them and abused the trust they had in it. “We had formed the association for mutual benefit so that we can take part in afforestation efforts while the role of KFS was to help us earn a living by buying our seedlings,” he said.
