MORE than 200 employees of the Kenya Petroleum Refinery Ltd plant at Changamwe in Mombasa yesterday protested closure of the plant following doubts on its viability. The employees called on the government and the parliamentary committee on energy to intervene and save the refinery. Addressing journalists outside the plant, Kenya Petroleum Oil Workers Union Coast Branch secretary Rafael Olala accused Energy PS Patrick Nyoike of pushing for the closure of the refinery.
