Investment firm Centum Ltd plans to invest up to Sh2 billion in real estate this year, an increase of up to Sh500 million on last year, the firm said yesterday, after reporting a sharp rise in profits. Pre-tax profits rose 137 per cent to 3.25 billion in the year ended March 31, it said, on a more than doubling of income for the period. It has a portfolio of more than Sh16 billion invested across assets in listed firms, private equity and real estate in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Nigeria and Ghana.
