There are many ways to judge the well-coordinated and implacable effort by our MPs to get their salaries raised back to the princely sums they were receiving before the last election. From a moral point of view, it is indefensible, that the MPs who are very well aware of the kind of poverty in which most Kenyans live, should demand salaries more befitting legislators of an advanced industrial nation.
