Leaders in Pokot have asked the government to pay Kenya Police Reservists immediately. The leaders fear that the police reservists may use their guns in criminal activities if they are not paid soon. Led by Senator John Lonyangapuo and Governor Simon Kachapin, they said village elders and reservists in Pokot have contributed greatly to the prevailing peace in the county. “They are always on the ground and in the frontline in solving problems affecting the community,” Kachapin said.
