New Sh4.8 billion Kilindini berth ready, says KPA

The project worth USD 66.7 million(Sh 4.8 billion) was commissioned in July 2011. Addressing journalists at the Kenya Ports Authority offices, Managing Director Gichiri Ndua said the project waiting commissioning before it becomes fully operational. The new facility will be expanded to accommodate more and bigger ships. According to Ndua, the current port container terminal is 600 metres.
