A suspected cattle rustler was killed at the border between Kuria East and Trans-Mara on Thursday. The rustler was shot as the locals pursued their stolen cattle. Residents said at least 20 cows stolen from Trans Mara and drove to Kuria. Kuria East police boss Gladys Ogonda said Trans-Mara residents fought with rustlers from Kuriar. “Both communities were armed with illegal guns during the clash before police intervened and restored calm although none of the animals has been recovered,” she said.
