THE Ministry of Energy has stepped in to solve a bitter row between oil marketer KenolKobil and the Kenya Petroleum Refineries over unpaid debts. Energy and Petroleum cabinet secretary Davis Chirchir said talks are ongoing between the marketer, the refinery, the ministry and the Energy Regulatory Commission to settle the differences that are threatening to halt the operations of one of Kenya's largest oil marketing company. Due to the dispute, KenolKobil cannot access petroleum products from the refinery for sale to its customers. The marketer has also been locked from the open tender system...
