The High Court has been asked to quash death sentence imposed to a young man charged with robbery with violence five years ago. Lawyer John Swaka told justices Fred Ochieng and Lydia Achode that that the prosecution did not prove a case against his client Nicholars Okoth. He said the prosecution witnesses gave contradictory and inconsistent evidence. Swaka, who was making final submissions, said the prosecution did not call material witnesses and the trial magistrate failed to consider and evaluate a grudge between the appellant and the complainants...
