Kenya marks 50 years in the next few months. The government wants to spend Sh2.5billion for the celebrations. Out of this, Sh50 million will be spent on a statue of retired President Kibaki while another Sh320 million will go towards dresses for personalities and Sh31 million for sitting allowances for the steering committee arranging the fete.
