Malindi residents and tourists yesterday had a rare feast of hippopotamus meat after Kenya wildlife Service rangers gunned it down in the Indian Ocean waters near a resort beach hotel. The hippo had been pushed by high current from the fresh water river Sabaki to the Indian Ocean causing a scare to tourists and members of the public. It was first spotted by members of the public at Coral Kkey Beach Resort in the Indian Ocean waters area early in the morning.
