NYERI county chief of staff has said the tendering process for Sh61.5 million from the Transition Authority to refurbish his offices was not irregular. Maina Mathenge said earlier claims on the irregularity of the process by the county assembly's Public Investment and Accounts Committee chairman, Baragu Mutahi are meant to intimidate him. The committee had accused the executive of overlooking the lawful procedure to misappropriate the money by awarding the tenders.
