Shilling at 7-month low vs dollar

The Kenyan shilling stayed around a seven-month low against the dollar due to dollar demand from the manufacturing and energy sectors and was expected to maintain a weakening trend in coming days, traders said. Commercial banks quoted the shilling at 86.40/60 to the dollar, compared with Wednesday's close of 86.35/45 per dollar, close to an intraday low of 87.75 touched on May 31, 2012.
