Public health officials have issued a notice to the Naivasha Municipal Council to close its old open air market. Naivasha district public health officer Samuel King’ori issued the 14-day closuer notice yesterday. “I have issued a closure notice for the old market as the toilets are overflowing yet the facility deals with fresh food,” he said. The department accused the council of failing to repair the market’s toilets despite issuing it with various notices that date back to January 2012 .
