North Rift Proboxes ignore traffic boss

Probox and saloon cars are still operating as Public Service Vehicles in many parts of the North Rift. They have ignored an order by Traffic commandant Samuel Kimaru to stop operating as PSVs. Last week, Kimaru ordered police to carry out a countrywide crackdown on Probox and saloon cars which are being used for passenger services because they are operating illegally. However, a spotcheck indicates that many of the vehicles are still operating as PSVs in Nandi, Uasin Gishu, Trans Nzoia and Pokot counties.
