Former Siakago AP has been charged with the murder of 10 people. Peter Karanja, who has been undergoing treatment at the Mathare Mental Hospital in Nairobi for two years, appeared at the High Court in Embu yesterday charged with the killing 10 people in Siakago, Mbeere North District on the night of November 6, 2010. Two of Karanja's victims were fellow APs. He looked composed when he was brought before Embu's Justice Hedwig Ong’udi. He sought to adjournment because his lawyer was not in court.
