A human rights activist yesterday filed a petition before the Judicial Service Commission seeking the removal of Chief Justice Willy Mutunga. The petition is apparently part of a wider plan by judges, judiciary staff and influential Jubilee politicians to force the CJ out before his term of office is over. Mutunga is due to retire in about two years.
