A gender-based violence recovery centre at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital in Kisumu town has been shut down. The executive director of Kenya Female Advisory Organisation, Easter Achieng’, said the centre was expected to provide comprehensive services to more than 500 survivors of GBV from Nyanza and its environs. “The centre was meant for survivors to access medical, psycho-social and legal services,” she said in Kisumu town yesterday.
