Busia civic leaders yesterday opposed a list of newly-employed workers at a full council meeting held at the county hall. Led by Walatsi councillor Jack Wambulwa, they accused Funyula MP Paul Otuoma for interfering with the council's affairs. They claimed that the Local Government minister recommended 11 people from his constituency to fill the 16 slots available at the council. The councillors claimed that majority of those Otuoma recommended do not have academic papers. We will not let this happen, said the civic leaders...
