INSPECTOR General of Police David Kimaiyo was yesterday given 14 days to respond to a suit filed by a lobby group that has challenged his appointment. The CID Director, Mr Ndegwa Muhoro, and Samuel Arachi of Administration Police have also been ordered to file responses to the suit. Although the three have been served with court papers, they were not present in court and have not filed response. The International Centre for Conflict and Peace is seeking to stop Kimaiyo from performing his duties as IG arguing that his appointment was unconstitutional...
