A 30-year-old vegetable vendor was was yesterday charged with stealing goods from a supermarket in Ongata Rongai. Beatrice Tekira stole goods worth Sh4,525 at Tuskeys Supermarket on Monday. She admitted she took two Nivea boxes of soap and two bottles of Nivea lotion. In mitigation, Tekira told Kibera resident Magistrate T. Ondieki she stole the ite m s to raise money for her rent.
