Police in Kitale have seized fake money amounting to Sh80,000. Reports indicated that the cash was identified by workers at a flower firm whose salary contained genuine and fake notes. Kitale police boss James Kimani said investigations were in progress after workers of Elgon Flowers in Kwanza handed over the cash to police. The cash was in Sh1,000 notes. He said casual workers who normally receive salary in cash would be the most affected by the incident. Managers of the courier service company have recorded police statements over incident.
