Water shortage has hit Eldoret town and its environs forcing hundreds of residents to look for alternative means of getting it. Eldoret Water and Sanitation Company managing director Reuben Tuwei said the two-weeks the town has gone without water has been as a result of increased demand of the commodity. Tuwei said the population is growing faster than the company can meet the town's demand for water. Eldowas supplies most of the water.
