More than 110,000 sheep and goats have been vaccinated in Naivasha against Rift Valley Fever. The activity was funded by UN body FAO. The two-week exercise targeted which saw many farmers bring along their animals was free. Naivasha district veterinary officer Peterson Njiru said they had surpassed their 80,000 animals target. “The exercise was well coordinated and we managed to cover all the intended parts of Naivasha district which is always a high risk area,” he said...
