Mvita MP Najib Balala has hit out at the Coast leadership saying it is made up of illiterate people. “We are the only region in Kenya that produces leaders who are illiterate. We are ashamed of producing leaders who are illiterate,” he said on Monday evening. Speaking at the Kenya Medical Training College where he laid a foundation stone for a Sh50 million expansion, Balala said the region should put more focus on education.
