A mechanic was yesterday charged with robbing a businessman of a consignment of medicine worth more than Sh35 million. William Ijeji Changirwa, who appeared before chief magistrate Kiarie Waweru, faces another charge of handling stolen property worth more than Sh6 million. Changirwa allegedly robbed Ayub Makimei Kuria of the medicine and an Isuzu Canter valued at Sh2 million on October 12 at Capital Centre in Nairobi. The property belongs to Speedex Logistics. Changirwa was released on a Sh500,000 bail pending the hearing of the case on December 17.
