An 11-year-old boy was on Sunday evening shot dead by suspected raiders from Kases village of West Pokot county. Speaking to the Star on the phone yesterday, area chief Joseph Korkimul said the raiders ambushed the boy while he was heading home from Kases centre. “The boy had gone to the posho mill and on his way back he met the raiders,” he said. Korkimul said the friend of the deceased escaped unhurt as he fled into a nearby bush. He asked the police to beef up security in the region and arrest the culprits to ensure justice prevails.
