A 35-year-old security guard was yesterday charged with violently robbing the Bangladesh High Commissioner. The court heard that Stanley Nyongesa committed the offence on February 22 at Karen Brooks area in Langata. It is alleged that he committed the offence jointly with others who were not in court. The court heard that they were armed with pistols, pangas and rungus when they violently robbed Wahidur Rahman. He allegedly took Sh5,000, $2,000, four laptops worth Sh 280,000, a camera, six mobile phones and assorted diamond jewelry, all amounting to Sh571,000. The police said Nyongesa...
