A 25-year-old woman was yesterday arraigned before a Kibera court charged with arson. Patricia Njeri Njuguna faced charges that on January 9 at Kinoo shopping centre in Uthiru, she unlawfully set on fire a shop, Alliances Entertainment Movies, belonging to George Mbugua Mbiriri. The property was valued at Sh25,500. She denied the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate David Ochenja and applied to be released on reasonable bail terms, saying she comes from a humble background and if the bond is high, she would be unable to raise it...
