THE Planned lecturers’ strike that was to begin on Monday has been stopped by the Industrial Court. Justice Nzioki wa Makau issued the orders yesterday and directed the Inter-Public Universities Council to serve the lecturers’ union with the court papers before the hearing on January 31. The Council in the application said it has been engaging the University Academic Staff Union to avert the strike. But the council's officials sad they were shocked when Uaso issued it with a strike notice. The council said it was worried the strike would disrupt classes and operations at public universities...
