One shot dead by police at Koibatek polling centre

A voter was yesterday shot dead in Koibatek as confusion marred the parties nominations in most regions. The man was shot dead during a confrontation with a police officer at the Seguton polling station in Lembus ward. DC Samson Macharia said the matter was under investigation. Initial reports indicated the voter threatened to stab a police officer who was manning the polling station.The officer shot him in self defence.
