TWO former Mombasa Republican Council officials were yesterday cleared to run for ward representative in Junda and Likoni. Rashid Shakombo Kivyasto will vie on a Republican Congress ticket while Amani Chifwete, former Vikwatani branch vice chairman, represent TNA. Chifwete's only competitor, Benard Osinde, dropped out of the race. Yesterday, outgoing Mvita MP Najib Balala, the leader of the party, issued certificates to all his Coast aspirants at Farasi House in Tudor.
