Lagdera MP wants KCPE exam scrapped

Lagdera MP Mohamed Shidiye wants the KCPE exam scrapped. Speaking at the Lagdera CDF office in Garissa yesterday, Shidiye said the education system is more focused on passing examinations at the expense of the students gaining knowledge. He was speaking when he presented Sh5 million bursary cheques to beneficiary schools in his constituency. Shidiye said KCPE exams have increasingly contributed to the cut-throat competition among schools at the expense of nurturing skills and true learning.
