Watchman killed in Mwala night raid

A watchman at Maweli shopping centre in Mwala District, Machakos county was on Wednesday night attacked and killed by a gang which raided the market. Confirming the incident, Mwala police boss Joseph Kiragu Mugo said the guard, 75, was hit on the head with a blunt object. He said the watchman,who was attacked while manning a wholesale shop, is said to have dragged himself and died 5m from the scene.
