Police in Mbeere South yesterday said they have finalised investigations into an incident where President Kibaki’s former aide Geoffrey Kingangi allegedly led his supporters in destroying property after the announcement of the nomination results on Friday. Kingangi garnered 5,512 votes against outgoing Gachoka MP Mutava Musyimi's 9,965 for the Mbeere South parliamentary seat ticket.
