The Taveta Settlement Scheme Project was done irregularly, a parliamentary committee has said. Taveta DC Heribae Nkaduda and lands officer Ngugi Maina had a difficult time explaining whether there was a committee involving local residents in identifying the beneficiaries of the land. They appeared before the Parliamentary Lands Commission on Friday, at the Taveta subcounty commissioner’s office.
