TRADERS in Githunguri Market yesterday protested over the high charges for a single business permit levied by the county government. They held a peaceful demonstration to the subcounty commissioner Geoffrey Omonding’s office. The traders said they previously paid Sh3,650 for single business permits which has been raised to Sh12,000. “We are here to request him not to be used by the county government to harass us since the deadline for paying business permit ends on March 31,” said Anne Njeri, a shop owner.
