KWS has seized two elephant tusks weighing 100 kilos and worth Sh4 million in North Pokot. Speaking to the press yesterday, Western conservation assistant director Daniel Onsembe said KWS rangers confiscated the tusks at Kacheliba last night. He said they were yet to establish whether the tusks came from Kenyan or Ugandan elephants. He said rangers were looking for the armed poachers who fled leaving behind their "loot".
