THE National Police Service Commission has announced plans to increase the number of vehicles in all police stations to address transport issues and help fight crime. Deputy Police commissioner Silas Mc’Opiyo, who is also in charge of planning, said the government has already leased 1,200 vehicles from Toyota Kenya. “The vehicles have been distributed all over the country and plans are underway to supply more so as to help fight crime,” he said.
