the Court of Appeal yesterday upheld the nomination of Naisula Lesuuda to the Senate. Lesuuda’s nomination had been challenged by Lydia Mathi, an activist who said her name was unfairly swapped by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission with that of Lesuuda from TNA’s list of those to be nominated. In the ruling, a five-judge bench comprising judges GBM Kariuki, Erastus Githinji, Muhamed Warsame, Daniel Musinga and Kathurima M’Inoti dismissed Mathia’s arguments.
