Three Murang'a MPs have asked the county government to enact strict laws to control alcohol drinking. The MPs said alcohol is to blame for the area's low birth rate and dwindling population. Jamleck Kamau (Kigumo), Alice Wahome (Kandara) and Maragua's Peter Kamande were on Monday 'shocked' to find that only five women in a function they had attended in Kigumo were pregnant.
