THE government has been asked to subsidise haemophilia drugs to make them easily available to patients. Haematologist Dr Kibet Shikuku said patients have to rely on donors or imported them expensively. Haemophilia is a group of hereditary genetic disorders that impair the body's ability to control blood clotting or coagulation. It is used to stop bleeding when a blood vessel is broken.
