Met warns drivers of heavy Easter rains

Easter travellers have been warned that rains will hit most parts of the country this weekend. Deputy director of meteorological services Peter Ambenje said only areas around Turkana will be dry. “Most places in the country are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall during the long Easter weekend,” he said in Nairobi yesterday. Ambenje said drivers must be careful to avoid accidents because most roads will be slippery while others will become foggy, impairing visibility.
