POLICE in Embu have unearthed a syndicate in which government drivers sell fuel to a private dealer. Police say the illegal dealer, at Tebere village on the Embu- Nyeri road, has also been buying fuel from drivers of private company vehicles. Detectives said the dealer in turn sells the siphoned fuel to various petrol stations in Mt Kenya region. Embu county CID boss Zachary Kariuki said the syndicate costs the government and private businesses millions of shillings.
