THE Media Council of Kenya yesterday condemned harassment and intimidation of journalists by security forces and supporters of some political parties, including barring them from undertaking their rightful duties of informing the country. The Council said in a statement signed by Chief Executive Officer Haron Mwangi, that some journalists were harassed and attacked while covering the just-concluded parties’ primaries. He said this is a breach of freedom of the media and expression which violates the rights of journalists as provided for by the Constitution.
