A Mombasa court yesterday issued a warrant of arrest against a Mombasa councillor after he failed to appear in court over an assault case. Kevin Lunani was accused of assaulting Vincent Wanjala on May 23 at the Mombasa Hospital. Prosecutor Peter Githoge requested that the case to be mentioned on December 24. In the same court, Frederick Karisa denied threatening to injure magistrate Timothy ole Tanchu on November 17 at Baraka estate in Kisauni. Karisa allegedly told ole Tanchu— “Wewe utaumia, nitahakikisha nimekumaliza” (you will suffer and l will make sure l finish you)...
